Cookie Policy
How and why HRPayCalc uses cookies
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, store small amounts of data in the same way. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to understand how a site is used.
2. Our Approach to Cookies
HRPayCalc uses very few cookies. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or sell your data. Analytics cookies are off by default: when you first visit, we ask for your consent before any analytics cookies are set, using Google Consent Mode. You can accept or decline from the banner at the bottom of the page.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
Strictly necessary / functional
We store a small value in your browser's local storage to remember your cookie choice and your light/dark theme preference. These are essential to honoring your settings and are not used for tracking.
Analytics (consent-based)
If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and calculators are used, so we can improve them. These set cookies such as _ga and _ga_<id>. IP addresses are anonymized. If you decline, these cookies are not set.
4. Managing Your Choices
- Consent banner: choose "Accept" or "Decline" when you first visit. To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser and reload, and the banner will appear again.
- Browser controls: most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking all cookies may affect how some sites function.
- Google Analytics opt-out: you can install Google's opt-out browser add-on.
5. Do Not Track
Because there is no industry-standard for "Do Not Track" signals, the Site does not currently respond to them. Our consent-based analytics approach means analytics stay off unless you opt in, regardless of any DNT signal.
6. Third-Party Cookies
Analytics cookies are set by Google as a third-party processor. Their use of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not control third-party cookies beyond choosing whether to load the service.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices or the law change. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the latest version.
